At Elite Truck School, 96 percent of our graduates find jobs through our CDL job placement near Portland. But did you know that some of our graduates buy their own trucks and become owner-operators? This requires commercial truck insurance. To learn more about it, watch this video clip.

Commercial truck insurance can be used to cover a truck that is used for business purposes or for parcel purposes. If you will use the truck for parcel purposes, the insurance would be in your name. But if the truck is for business purposes, it will be under the name of your incorporated business. The latter is ideal in most cases for many owner-operators, because in the event of an accident, your personal assets will not be at risk.
